SFFMC: EDUCATION
Approximately 800,000 children are reported missing each year. Within 1 hour after a child has been abducted 44% will be murdered. This number drastically increases at the first 24 hours to an astonishing 91%.
Each year, one million children are confirmed to be victims of abuse or neglect, as many as 1,500 children die as a result. These statistics are staggering.
Our Plan
New innovative curriculum will prepare the mandated reporters of tomorrow to recognize, report , and respond to abuse. This curriculum will also provide future protection workers, police officers, nurses, doctors, lawyers, judges, and other professionals with the skills they need to properly respond to a report of abuse or of a missing child.
Safety First Foundation will assist in introducing and implementing this curriculum in our universities. The Foundation also will provide ongoing trainings and publications to child workers in the field and the local community.
