NOTE PROBLEMS FOR LATER INVESTIGATION
During the course of the audit, the auditor may discover something that is worthy of further investigation, but which leads away from the original plan of action. An auditor should always be prepared to follow these leads, but it may be better to note the potential problem and investigate it when the audit moves into the area where the trail leads.
