The Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act of 1991 requires drug and alcohol testing ot safety-sensitive transportation employees in aviation, trucking, railroads, mass transit, pipelines and other transportation industries.  DOT publishes rules (encompassed in 49 Code of Federal Regulations [CFR] Part 40) on who must conduct drug and alcohol test, how to conduct those tests and what procedures to use when testing.  Safety First Employee Screening Services offers a comprehensive DOT drug & alcohol testing program including policy development, national consortium options and consulting services.  These services are offered either onsite at your facility or through a third party off site screening facility.

Safety First also can develop a policy and detailed procedures for your company.  They will be written to meet the needs of your company and in accordance with Federal and State regulations.  Each policy document will include step-by-step consequences of a non-negative drug test restult and/or policy violation.
